FEMA's Elevation Certificate is used to provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to determine the proper insurance premium rate, and to support a request for a Letter of Map Amendment or Revision (LOMA or LOMR-F).

FEMA's Short Form LOMA/LOMR-F Application is by an individual property owner to request that FEMA remove a single residential structure or a legally recorded parcel of land or a portion of a parcel from the Special Flood Hazard Area.

FEMA's Long Form LOMA/LOMR Application is used to remove multiple buildings or lots and commercial buildings or lots from the Special Flood Hazard Area(SFHA). In most cases it is not necessary to use the long form application when requesting removal of a single residential lot or building from the SFHA.
